Ron Kifer

Ron Kifer is currently executive director for the Future Applied Program, group vice president and chief information officer of Global Information Services at Applied Materials, Inc. He has been GVP and CIO for GIS since May 2006, where he is responsible for the company’s global information technology strategy, budget, systems, infrastructure, and service delivery.
Prior to joining Applied Materials, Mr. Kifer served as executive vice president and chief information officer of DHL Express Europe and global chief information officer for DHL’s Rest of World organization. In addition, Mr. Kifer has held executive information technology leadership positions with the California State Automobile Association, 4CS, Inc., Oregon Department of Revenue, and Raytheon Company.
Mr. Kifer received a bachelor of science degree in organizational behavior from the University of the State of New York and a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix, Arizona.
